Captain Brian W. Burnett picked up where he left off in 2010 with a nice opening 9 of 48 this past weekend at the newly refurbished Hoover Country Club, or as it's known in Kiva Cup parlance, Green Valley. Zac "17" played well after a shaky start. He putted great and beat Captain Burnett soundly in every aspect of the game with the exception of a long drive contest. Zac shot 86 and Captain Burnett shot 89.
Hoover's changes are great. Burnett chipped it into the water on 2. The green on 6 is right next to the water. Water comes into play on 7 big time too. Greens are smaller especially number 10. Hole 17 plays over 200 yards from the back tees.
It was a good test of golf.

17 owns Burnett like The War Eagle Plainsmen own Bryant Denny Stadium! 17 should pay property tax on Mr. Captain Brian W. Burnett.
Also, all Bammers must die in the pits of hell.
Bad news USA, I talked to the Jammer last night and he is definitely OUT of the 2011 Kiva Cup. The man did not sound interested AT ALL.
How you say, OLE, OLE, OLE, OLE!!!
If Kiva Cup Legend Jammy Erwin is indeed out, Coach Captain James Hartsell better enjoy that nice little trophy in his office. Come November its moving back to its rightful home on Eagle Point Mountain.
WE GOT 'EM BURNETT, THEIR BEST PLAYER IS OUT. The Beach Club for everybody, on me.
Brian told me Jammy was out. At least that is what I think he said because he was laughing so hard when he tried to tell me.
I cannot wait for this years cup and Beach Club. Save me a seat next to Jim.
That sand bagger playing as a 26 handicap is out? I am going to name my next brick "The Jammy" cause he just sunk Team USA.
I hope Team USA brings back KC(Great). Hes a solid Beach Club man.
That will not be happening.
