With our thoughts going out to all those affected by the unprecedented deadly storms across the great state of Alabama, Cup members did manage some weekend action, as time allows:

Friday, April 29

Ballantrae Golf Gourse

Zac "17" Ward and Chief, Emeritus battled European legends Capt. Brian Burnett and Sean "Chappy" Halcomb to an ALL SQUARE draw at the remarkably Scottish Style Links, Ballantrae GC in Pelham, Alabama. Some casual observers noted that it was like Tiger and Stevie playing Rocco at Torrey Pines. The match ended AS after much back and forth. It has been reported that Brian "did not like it". Emeritus noted, "Zac and I did not play our best but we are simply just hard to beat. Today's AS has sent shock waves through the Euro nation...let me say this, RETAINED!" Captain Burnett, a hardened veteran of Cup play, was more philosophical in his comments, "I putted like Charlie Boswell with a leaf rake." Individual scores were not available at press time.

Saturday, April 30

Greystone Golf Club - Legacy

Team USA member Mark Skiba ventured out from his new home to visit one of his favorite golfing venues, The Legacy Course at Greystone. Skiba, still recovering from his celebrations of Auburn's first National Championship since 1957*, fired an 81. The remarkable round included 3 birdies and 4 (four) double bogeys. His guru Meelum was said to have fired an 83 the same day somewhere in The Algarve Region of Portugal.

Burningtree GC (Old)

On a beautiful spring day at the tough North Alabama layout, USA Captain J. Hartsell fired a disappointing 92. Highlights, if there were any, included 8 pars, a quad, a triple, and 4 doubles. Future Team USA member Jordan Hartsell, sponsoring Taylor Made, managed an 87. Uncle Lee, hitting 14 of 14 fairways, had a steady 81.

The action continues with a potentially legendary match upcoming on Friday of this week at Farmlinks GC an especial favorite venue of The Kiva Cup. Follow us on twitter and the Proper Forum for updates.

Hello, does anybody have a 2011 SEC Helmet Schedule? Nice site by the way.

Whoever runs this site now is very hard nosed. They wont even keep Emeritus Members on the team list. That is just sad. Very sad.
