An Alternate Shot Modified Stableford Shamble in the ATL

2 true legends of the Kiva Cup, Skiba and Meelum, ventured over to the land of dual Waffle House exits to compete in the annual AUDI QUATTRO CUP. The winner of this prestigious event advanced to Whistling Straits, for a chance to compete in the World Finals in Meelum's homeland of China. From the outset, it was obvious the tournament was 1st class. After all, it was on Lake Lanier. The format, so odd that it cannot be fully described, was a hybrid alternate shot-shamble-modified Stableford system.

Starting off with a troubling double bogey from the middle of the fairway on their opening hole, the old friends rallied. Perhaps inspired by Coach Heineken, they managed to finish with a solid 34 points. Sadly, the winning total was a very strong 54. For a point of reference, this margin of defeat is equivalent to Georgia Tech's 222-0 victory over Cumberland in 1937.

I am proud of the way these two gentlemen of the game battled in the face of adversity. As we all know, the winds of Lake Lanier can be somewhat capricious. To battle back and only lose by a mere 20...why i must say that the great Eldrick and Stevie themselves could do no better. Cheers to Team USA.

On behalf of Bruce and Gary, I want to say THANK YOU to Greg and Mark for participating in our event. In alternate shot, everyone gets the point - if you know what I mean! Love the Puma, Mark, rrrrroarrrrr! Good luck in the Chivas Cup. If any of you ever want to play in my cup, just let me know.

When will the over/under on the number of points Jarrod wins in this year's Kiva Cup be released?

Mrs. Burnett is your usual table ok for tonight?

I would set that over/under HIGH for JRod. He's been bouncing some ideas off of me and he is CLOSE to finding something.
