A Visit to Scotland West

Only Eldrick "Tiger" Woods can create that much torque in a shaft!!!!
Death Valley
But it plays downhill see...just a little smooth cut 3 wood over the lake is all.
@europeancaptain blasts it 265 to reach the fairway on #1, as his rivals Sean and 17 look on
Discussing concepts on the 1st tee

In the largest interleague Kiva Cup gathering of the year, members of Team USA and Team Europe along with @jordanhartsell gathered on the Scottish links of Central Alabama at Ballantrae GC for a relaxing round of golf.  Always up to a challenge, the group assayed the II tees, playing at a challenging,, albeit downhill, 6, 875 yards. It was the USA Captain's first time to play the course from these tees in over 10 visits to the famous Pelham links venue.

The results follow, as time allows:

LOW NET:
@markjskiba     78 (7) -  71
@sean                  77 (5) -   72
@zmward             83 (11) - 72
@european          83 (10) - 73
@jammyerwin     100 (25)- 75
@jordanhartsell  82 (5) -    77
@jimhhartsell      93 (14) -  79
@thechiefs          95 (13) -  82

MATCH PLAY:
@sean / @zmward  2 and 1 over @europeancaptain / @markjskiba

@jammyerwin / @thechiefs  1 UP over @jordanhartsell / @jimhhartsell

His shoulders are closed, but his hips are open. That shaft is flexed in such a way as to indicated a takeaway that is 100 to 112 times too fast. That man right there is in serious need of a second set of eyes and, perhaps, a conceptual discussion.

Can we play the gold tees in the Kiva Cup this year? Its only 7092 yards. You get a lot of roll out at KDGC.

We have no answer for James Erwin. 100 from the II tees at Ballantrae? Wow. Oh wait, I forgot, I'm out.

Guys, when is the Kiva Cup being held this year? Is it still going to be contested at Kiva Dunes GC in Fort Morgan, Alabama? My most fervent desire is to play as a golfer once more in this most famous golfing event.

Looks like a real fun time. If you guys ever have an extra spot, I'd love to get on an e-mail list. Anyways, me, Watkinson and Huguley have a team time Saturday morning at Hoover CC. We're looking for a fourth if anyone wants to join us?

Why won't anybody answer my questions regarding the 10th Annual Kiva Cup? Brian is a fraternity brother of mine in Sigma Nu. I saved him from the UA campus police at least 17 times. This is the thanks I get? I won this damn Cup for Team Europe singlehandedly the first 5 years. Good-bye.

Seriously, how is that shaft flexed like that? Maybe it's an optical illusion.

Its simple really. The ratio of your upper body turn versus your wrist pronation is such the the moment of inertia in the shaft exceeds the required modulus of elasticity inherent in a standard steel shaft.
