Reports out of Team USA have Chief and KCGreat rejoining the team, and Jammy Erwin stepping down, for the 2010 Kiva Cup.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly on personnel matters, a Team USA insider confirmed that the relationship between Chief, KCGreat and the rest of Team USA has been mended. Chief and KCGreat temporarily resigned from Team USA ahead of the 2009 Kiva Cup. The pair is expected to rejoin Team USA for all 2010 cups, be they fake or true events.
The insider further indicated that an announcement regarding Erwin's future with Team USA was forthcoming. "Jammy's given this a lot of thought. He's never felt like he had the desire to invest financially or in terms of time to truly devote himself to golf or, likewise, preparing for the Kiva Cup. To say he has a lot on his plate would be an understatement, and he feels that removing the pressure of preparing for the Kiva Cup will benefit him and his family. He also shares John Daly's disdain for going out and playing poorly and feels that Team USA, and the Kiva Cup, could benefit from his stepping aside."

Ahhhh, the annual "I quit the Cup" announcement. It's nice to be able to count on certain things in life.
