Weekend Recap

EAGLE POINT GC

On Sunday May 15, 4 Kiva Cup regulars met at the base of Burnett Mountain to engage in a decidedly unfriendly match of golf. M. Skiba (79) / B. Burnett (80) defeated Chief Hartsell (88) and Zac17 Ward (89) 3 and 1 in an epic struggle. The stakes were high in terms of dollars, as well as bragging rights. Commenting just after the round, 17 noted, "We collapsed. I'm awful. I quit golf. Who wants to play next weekend?"

It was good to see you Sunday night Mr. and Mrs. Burnett. I hope the bottles of wine we chose for you were to your liking. The filet and lobster was an great choice. I hope to see you again soon.

He is lucky we did not play another nine holes. That when I come to play!

I tell who is lucky, Mr. Kenny Joe Choi! He's lucky that Eldrick "Tiger" Woods dropped out because of his knee problems. Congratulations KJ on winning the 2011 Players Championship.*

I remember when the Kiva Cup was a fine, upstanding family style Cup and it stood for Auburn/Florida and Bama/LSU. Tennis, anyone? We can get up a mixed singles match.

This website is much nicer under the new management. Thanks for making the change. My email isn't any where near as cluttered, either, now that ccpoty is dead. See you in a few months.

The planning of this Kiva Cup seems to be drama free. I always felt like Jammy was the stick that stirred the drama pot until it boiled over its venom and hate.

I sure hope the Kiva Cup gets played this year. I look forward to following my favorite Kiva Cup characters year round on this forum, which by the way is a very appropriate venue.

Well, we could just make a few bets.
