Vice-Captain Skiba had the range more or less to himself, as the battle raged at Jerdan Hare.

Green Valley Old
In a pairing that we can be sure to see ad nauseum at The Kiva Cup this December, @EuropeanCaptain & Fake Hawk (The Chaplain) hammered @ZMWard and @thechiefs into the proverbial Coke bottle, 8 and 7. Yes, that is an eight and a seven. Or as they say in Old Mexico, Ocho y Siete.

@MarkJSkiba made the drive down to The Loveliest, not for the season opener as you might expect, but for a marathon practice session at his new Home of Golf. The course was largely deserted, with most members attending the festivities at Jerdan Hare Stadium. (Pat Dye Field) When asked after the round if he regretted missing one of the most improbable comebacks in the storied history of The Plainsmen, Skiba responded, "No."
Birmingham CC - West Course
In the experience of @KivaCup, there are few cooler old school places in the game than the Mens Grill at Birmingham CC. More than likely you will see at least one legend of Alabama golf. The course was immaculate on a typically hot day. USA Captain J. Hartsell followed a promising front nine 39 with a total collapse on the back nine, to finish with an 87.

"A ball embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground in any closely mown area through the green may be lifted, cleaned and dropped, without penalty, as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole. The ball when dropped must first strike a part of the coursethrough the green. "Closely mown area" means any area of the course, including paths through the rough, cut to fairway height or less."
The ball subject this dispute was not embedded in a closely mown area. I don't recall, really, but I think that it was placed, not dropped. Que sera sera.
Also, you shouldn't ground your club in anger after you have hit a bad shot in a hazardous area. This is not good for you shall be given a pelanty on your scorecard.
Nick, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info! #hi5
Why Mo's Mill discriminate against had working Korean automotive worker who just want hit ball. White bastard.
How did this guy get in the CC of B'ham parking lot in a Chevrolet? I thought we installed a force field that only let in Mercedeses, Lexuses and W's. I'm going to talk to the Golf Committee about this issue.
