@europeancaptain and @KC(Great) on Hilton Head Island |
You've had great success in the Cup, despite a high turnover rate on your team. Who's your favorite former Team Europe member and why?
That's easy. Richard Dalton Huguley, III. He used to set Jim off like a rocket. I swear one time he froze up for so long over his tee shot on 12, I thought he was having a petit mal seizure. Drove Jim absolutely nuts. Unfortunately, Dalton lost his clubs in his garage 8 years ago and never played again.
You've really transformed your game from exclusively playing a 50 yard slice to now being an all around shotmaker. How did you accomplish this?
Ben Hogan's The Five Fundamentals of Modern Golf
Every year you want to switch Alternate Shot from it's traditional Friday afternoon spot to the Friday morning session. Every year Jim says no. Will you continue this effort in the future?
Absolutely. Jim loves tradition and with this being probably the greatest Kiva Cup tradition, I will continue my quest to destroy it.
Tacky Jacks II or That Upscale Casual Place with $9 Drinks in Front of The Beach Club?
Place in Front Of.
What makes Brick & Luke such a formidable pairing?
Intimidation.
You are known for telling an opponent: "That's good if it will measure". What does that mean exactly? In Match Play, you either concede a putt or you don't.
It's Psychology 101. When I say that, I know the putt is just outside of the leather, thus creating a sense of uncertainty and frustration in the opposing player.
You're a big fan of Eldrick "Tiger" Woods. What do you like about him?
He's just such a sincere, humble person. The way he plays through pain every single round, it's inspirational. Amazing really. He will beat Jack Nicklaus' record by at least 5 majors. I think he's on the verge of another great dominant run in golf.
What does the Kiva Cup mean to you?
Collecting $100 from Chris.
Do you like anybody on Team USA?
No.
Thanks for your time. Have a safe trip on down to the Gulf of Mexico.
Thank you, sir.
