We hope to see everybody once again at Kiva Dunes next October. |
2013 Kiva Cup Awards
Kiva Cup MVP - Luke Evans
1 under par thru 14 holes on 2 consecutive days, Luke was virtually an automatic robot factory on the course. Most telling, @europeancaptain turned to Luke for his Alternate Shot partner, thus guaranteeing he would be playing from the middle of the fairway or have a 10 footer for birdie on every hole.
Rookie of The Year - Mark "Collie" McCollister
2-2 in his first campaign.....and he was the only Cup rookie.
Sportsmanship Award (tie) - Jrod Jackson / Donnie
Jrod is always a gentleman, even in the face of a stunning collapse in Alternate Shot, the key turning point match of the 2013 Cup. He also negotiated on Jim's behalf with the waitress at That Place and assisted with the shrimp run.
Don followed up a nice 2012 debut, with another sportsmanlike performance in 2013. Always complimentary of an opposing players good shots. An all around good guy to play with.
Bobby Bowden It's Time To Retire Award (tie) - Jim / Skiba
The pair are a combined 0-16 in the last 2 Cups. Utter and complete futility.
Most Valuable Hawk - Kevin
The man can find a club in the scrub oak.
Best Sous Chef - Meelum

Any award ceremony that does not include my husband is an absolute joke. The man went 4-0 and won his singles match 5&4 despite not being able to hit an iron. He made 9 pars in 14 holes with 2 greens hit in reg. Jim hates my husband so much he poisoned him. He's been on the toilet since he got back.
